These A-list celebs may have access to the most glamorous global beauty brands, but in a pinch, they use these cost-effective beauty hacks. Which of these would you try?
“To give yourself a bit of a glow, you can put a little bit of lip balm around the eyes so it brightens,” Miranda said to Cosmopolitan UK.
When InStyle quizzed her about her beauty secrets, Queen B said; “A woman is most beautiful when she smiles. Other than that, the most valuable tip I’ve learned is always use moisturizer!”
“I use a Burt’s Bees cleanser and exfoliate with baking soda or brown sugar. I love coconut oil and olive oil, too. My skin doesn’t produce oil, so I have to replace it somehow,” Emma told PopSugar.
“Once I started drinking more water, my skin, hair and nails all flourished,” America told InStyle
“My mother was a hippie and very health conscious, so growing up she always encouraged my sisters and I to be as natural as possible,” Zoe told Allure. “She gave us a book she bought at a garage sale about natural beauty remedies and we used to look up everything, like how to make masks out of oatmeal or give our hair highlights using henna tea or even rum. Once a year, we all still get together and put mayonnaise in our hair for old times sake.”
“Apply loose powder on top of the foundation under your eyes, so if a little shadow spills, it’s easier to wipe off,” Katherine told InStyle Magazine.
“To make lashes curl better, take a hair dryer to your eyelash curler for one or two seconds before using it,” Isla told InStyle.
“To reduce puffiness, slice up a few refrigerated potatoes, soak them in water for a moment or two and then place them over your lids for 15 minutes. Works like a charm,” Lauren posted on her blog.
“If you use petroleum jelly on your lids, it gives you a dewy, angelic look.” Freida told InStyle Magazine.
When Elle Magazine asked Scarlett about her beauty habits, she shared this; “[I wash my face with] apple cider vinegar. It’s a nice way to treat your skin if you don’t want to use all those harsh chemicals that a dermatologist would recommend. If your skin is problematic or you’re having a lot of breakouts, it’s really healing.”
