The modest nude beauty look never goes out of style. A touch of peach colour on your lips and cheeks is all you need for modern, understated glamour. Think fresh, flushed cheeks, bright eyes and seductively sweet lips on a glowing complexion. Here’s how to get this look.

You may not have perfect skin, but you can fake a radiant glow. Pick a foundation that matches you complexion perfectly to even out your skin tone. Cleanse your skin and pat dry. Apply small amounts of foundation to your t-zone (forehead and nose), cheeks and jaw and blend using your fingers or swab of cotton wool.

Use a light creamy foundation to cover up dark rings around your eyes. Choose a concealer that matches your foundation to eliminate pimples and blemishes. If you have oily skin, lightly apply a translucent powder over concealer with a brush to make sure it doesn’t smudge.

The key to a healthy glow is cream blush and highlighters. In order to pick the correct blush colour for you, pinch your cheeks and take note of what colour they turn. Try MAC Blush in Melba. Face the mirror, smile and apply cream blush to the apples of your cheeks and blend outwards from the cheekbone area. The colour should be no stronger on the apples of your cheekbones than underneath. If you have oily skin, it’s best to opt for a powder blush, which you can apply in the same manner using a brush.

Pinch your lips together and have a look at what colour they turn. Lightly apply a sheer lipgloss in that exact colour to your lips.

As your eyebrows shape your face, it is important that they are perfectly formed. But don’t over-pluck, as this could add years to your face. Well-defined thicker brows lend to a more youthful face, so go easy on the tweezing!

Apply eye shadow in a neutral shade across your eyelids using a soft brush. Apply lightly from your lash line to the crease. To get bright eyes, line the inner rim of your lower lashes with a highlighter pencil and draw a line along the outside edge of your lower lash line with a brown eye pencil and lightly smudge for a softer look. Use an eyelash curler to curl your lashes and apply a slick of transparent or brown mascara for a more natural look.
